Olive Grove Psychology
Katy Perisic - Clinical Psychologist
Olive Grove Psychology was established in 2022 and is set in the historic National Trust building, Beaumont House. This beautiful house is surrounded by peaceful and picturesque gardens.
The original landowner, Samuel Davenport, was a cultivator of olives. He planted a number of olive trees around Beaumont House, later expanding his groves by planting additional trees both near the home and in surrounding areas in the suburb of Beaumont.
Olive trees have long been symbolic of shelter, hope, peace, resilience, regrowth, and productivity. In many ways the olive tree represents the setting, purpose, work, and outcomes of therapy.
Free on street parking is readily available in front of Beaumont House. There are also 2 nearby bus routes (Bus No. 142 and 147). Please note, if you catch a bus, there is an uphill walk from the terminus of each bus route to Beaumont House.

Central to Katy’s approach to therapy, is a client- centred focus incorporating strength-based models (including Positive Psychology) to encourage people who are experiencing and working through personal challenges to draw on their own resources and to develop strategies that will assist them in both the short term and into the future. Key elements she brings to therapy are empathy, sensitivity, compassion, collaboration, and supportiveness.
Prior to her studies and career in psychology Katy studied music and worked as a professional musician for many years. She has a keen interest in how people learn and has an understanding and interest in performance and anxiety- related challenges.
